Drawing: Human Figure and Anatomy

Margarita Myrogianni
MONDAYS, November 26th 2011 – January 16th 2012, 18:00 – 21:00
Max. Participants: 12

This workshop gives students the opportunity to explore several aspects of drawing, such as light and tone, materials and surface, movement and line, composition, measurement and proportion, through the analysis of human form. Starting with anatomy, observation and description of parts of the human body, you will then draw from a life model. You will be experimenting with a variety of techniques and materials including pencil, ink, chalk and watercolours. This course suits a cross-section of experiences from complete beginners to those who are more experienced but would like to explore the process of drawing of the human form. By the end of the workshop, you will have developed your creativity, improved technical skills and have at least one substantial drawing finished.

Margarita Myrogianni is an artist who lives and works in Athens and London.
