Graphic Designer Dimitris Karaiskos joins Ε.Δ.Ω.

We are delighted to have graphic designer Dimitris Karaiskos at our space. As you can observe, he is just settling in.

Dimitris was born in Athens on May 30, 1973. He trained as a graphic and interaction designer in Athens and London. He spent some time at Ravensbourne College of Design and as a webdesigner at the Times Webstudio and Spook Media. Returned to Athens in 2000 and opened his studio. Designed numerous jazz posters and won a first prize at the Greek Design & Illustration Awards for poster design and in 2008 represented Greece in the poster exhibition “27 Graphistes pour l’Europe” that took place at the airports of Paris. In 2007 his book/project “Flotsam & Jetsam” was published by Gema Editions and in 2008 he gave a lecture at the graphic design conference held in Zilhina, Slovakia on the “Strange Case of Greek Graphic Design”. His work is featured in the international publications “Small Studios” by Hesign Editions and in “Graphic Europe” by Cicada Books. In 2009 he curated the international poster exhibition “30 Posters on Migration” in the central metro station of Athens and in 2010 co-organised with designer Luba Lukova the 1st Mediterranean Design Workshop on the island of Tinos. He’s currently finishing writing for the book “Secret Athens” for Editions Jonglez and is about to publish a series of mini design books called “Unimportant Details”.
